so basically I would've written a journal sooner had I not been having some interesting firewall problems back home that prevented me from logging into dA :o

anyway, I'm off to college. actually I'm about five minutes away from my university staying in a hotel because we left so late we got in around 00:30. they don't let you check into your dormitory at 00:30 :|

tomorrow, I suppose, I'll be moving in and meeting up with people and checking out where my classes are and stuff. not exactly how I imagined first moving onto campus, but not a bad alternative. it means I get to spend a little more time with my parents before I go off entirely. maybe I'll even get to meet my roommate in person sometime...

but that's all for when I wake up after a good solid few hours of coma. right now, that coma has yet to happen.

driving through the tropical storm was oodles of fun, though -- just ask mum :dead:

Ahright. No, I didn't... Or maybe I did, and I forgot.. Anyway, you're almost like my brother. He started doing egyptology (at oxford). And then switched to languages, arabic and french.

Well, in the loosest sense of "almost like"


Maybe "completely unlike" would be a better description.

seeing as I'm neither related to you nor male, 'completely unlike' would be more accurate, yes

I'm thinking about minouring in Arabic, though... since my emphasis is on middle eastern language
